Great perspective here, DJ. Makes those animals appear even bigger than they already are...

@zOOm: hehe -- and YES!!! :) have you seen the movie yet? i have not, but need to do so -- to remind me of my magical time there!!!

AN excellent shot. I was once in a desert with a camel and a bedouin and I found the light extraordinarily difficult to work with; my old film SLR came back with some useless and disappointing shots.. so I can truly admire this shot in many ways. I do like the fact that the man is looking back at you - it makes it a great shot! Were you (meant to be) on the other camel?

@MrsAmber: thanks Amber!! :) no i had had quite a few rides in other places so i was just content to get this shot without a horde of people standing by... i am sure he would have wished that i had bought a camel ride... i just wanted this pic instead!! lol.
Beautiful photo, great document and b/w. Bravo.

Absolutely stunning frame! The detail in the sand, the subtle and obvious shadows and your point of view are just fantastic! Love this one Jaycee!

Feels like Lawrence of Arabia - great shot! I really enjoy your roller coaster ride between the very cold and the very hot! :-)

nice shot dj: as noted above nicely composed with the rider looking back at you. for some reason the thing that grabs me most about this shot is the juxtaposition of the camels, a truly ancient form of transport, with the tyre tracks of modern man.

They must be more comfortable than a car on the washboard of a road that they stand on...

Love the B & W treatment as it brings out the detail in the boulders of the background. Were you the rider for the other camel? ;-)

Excellent picture. Beautiful portrait of this bedouin with the surroundings. I love it in BW and the cars and trucks trails on the road with all the ondulations make nice textures.
