OK YOU AE REALLY GOING TO NEED TO SEE THIS MUCH BIGGER!! -- i don't even like this 'thumbnail' as the intricate details of the amazing and varied spread of fascinating rocks is almost impossible to make out!! in a larger 'email' size it is marvelously grand -- and i get the same feeling of wonder and awe as i did when i stood precariously on the edge of the rocky ledge, bracing myself against the upward gusts of wind, trying to hold the camera still enough for the 4 shots that make up this nearly 140 degree panorama...!! :)

here i am standing at the edge of the road that runs parallel to the deep and jagged canyons that obscure and harbor the amazingly historical sites of Petra... from this height and view, there is no way of knowing what treasures lie below... only a Bedouin could guide you safely though this natural maze to the gloriously hidden places deep within these chasms.

let me know if you want to see this larger and i will send out a 1600 pixel width version!!! :)
