a View Over the Water to TromsdalenPosted by dj.tigersprout (New York City, United States) on 2 November 2009 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. rising like a pointed, scaly ridge on the back some frightening prehistoric lizard, this icy peak towers easily over everything in the surrounding area!! this smooth mountain captivated me more than almost anything else; its elegant white sides tapering steeply down its slopes... this is the most majestic and beautiful view i have seen for a very long time, and it is the view that greets you every time you step into downtown Tromso!! i simply LOVED this view -- i could stare and stare and stare!!! taken on the last afternoon i was in Tromso -- the time would be around 1pm. within an hour, there would be nothing but blue hues -- a daily reckoning: the blue period, before the dark retook the sky for 20 more hours of night. all work protected by Creative Commons

Sorry DJ! Your news is great, and I'm sure the book will be well received - looking forward to the details of where and when it will be available. And BTW, when you decide to get your next camera, be very careful and be sure to take many shots and check them on your home PC before getting rid of the 350D. It was my first digital camera and I still think there has been nothing yet to beat the quality of the photos. Ok - it doesn't have the dust cleaning stuff and other benefits of the newer models, but the quality of the images is hard to beat! 2 Nov 2009 6:54pm @dobbino: lol -- no worries Rob! ;) i was thinking that somehow your email address had gotten lost or bounced or something! yes -- thank you for the advice, will defo check out shots from the new camera before getting rid of the rebel!! i still wonder though -- do you think the rebel is better than the 40D? will send you a note! :) cheers to you! @Graham Russon: cheers Graham!!
