Winter Solstice, Anaktuvak Pass, Arctic CirclePosted by dj.tigersprout (New York City, United States) on 16 October 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. i know, i know -- 2 shots in a row!!! holy dang! ;) i don't know what has come over me... but it has gotten VERY cold outside these last few days... so i am staying in a bit more... which may mean i start posting a bit more -- but it is way too early to tell... :P lol. a shot from my 2007 winter escapade to the arctic circle. i am standing on an icy ledge above the eskimo / inuit town (behind me) looking south as the thin light slowly bleeds from the sky... the 18 hour night is soon to begin. all work protected by Creative Commons
