I like the composition here as a combination of centre-based (horizon) and rule-of-thirds-based (ice vs. land). It gives the shot a minimalist look and makes those colors stand out even more.

Great shot. It seems to be a static, life- and timeless place, but the visible traces of erosion show that actually this is just a snapshot (according to a geological timescale).

A stunning capture dj, the mountains are incredible. The texture and appearance actually remind me of coal, probably due to living most of my life here in PA, the coal mining state. Always fascinated by your landscape shots.
