Walking Through Blueberry Fields...Posted by dj.tigersprout (New York City, United States) on 22 May 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. another shot from that unforgettable hike to Blueberry Mountain in the Arctic Circle region of Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska. this was at the very beginning of the walk -- around 9am as i first set out from the Eskimo / Inuit village... beautiful mists surrounded the bases of many of the mountains -- and there was absolutely no sound... incredible!! in this shot Blueberry Mountain is on the left, what i am calling the 'Mayan Peaks' on the right... and we get a special glimpse of the 2 odd rocky mountains just behind... usually they are obscured from sight! the lighting was so mystical... dark on the plains... but the grasses and plants so bright...!!! all work protected by Creative Commons
