Walking Through Blueberry Fields...

another shot from that unforgettable hike to Blueberry Mountain in the Arctic Circle region of Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska. this was at the very beginning of the walk -- around 9am as i first set out from the Eskimo / Inuit village... beautiful mists surrounded the bases of many of the mountains -- and there was absolutely no sound... incredible!!
in this shot Blueberry Mountain is on the left, what i am calling the 'Mayan Peaks' on the right... and we get a special glimpse of the 2 odd rocky mountains just behind... usually they are obscured from sight! the lighting was so mystical... dark on the plains... but the grasses and plants so bright...!!!

I would love waking up to this scene any day. I am sure it would be a pleasant cure to my recent allergies with what seems to be a home to some very fresh air. Beautiful capture. Love that midst running though the middle.

Nice shot! You actually went to the Eskimo / Inuit village..that's cool! i mean what do you do in an eskimo village..i wonder..are they the modern eskimo or the traditional ones?

@ishm: cheers mate -- yes i stayed there 2 nights in one of the houses!! no - not much to do in in an Eskimo village except to hang with the locals, play with the kids, check out all the wolf-dog specimens, and wander around in vast and pristine wilderness!! it was glorious indeed -- all that open space! cheers!!
