A Winter's Solar Nebula, Southern Iceland

Posted by dj.tigersprout (New York City, United States) on 18 December 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

a shot from one of the most amazing and dramatic 'moments' we had in Iceland... the sun and the low levels of light had been simply dazzling to the eyes throughout the short winter days, but by noon on the third day, scattered layers of clouds arrived quickly from over the sea engulfing the sun and treating us to spectacle after spectacle of changing light colors and patterns...!!! shortly after witnessing this wondrous 'solar nebula' display we drove right into a snowstorm on an isolated part of the island covered by multiple glaciers... we experienced a complete 'white out', and it was just awesome!! more pictures to follow!!
