Big Land, Big Sky!! Anaktuvuk Pass, AlaskaPosted by dj.tigersprout (New York City, United States) on 21 November 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. i should mention that this is about 50 meters up from where i drank, face first in the stream during my trials and tribulations in getting to Blueberry Mountain. you can just see the rocky banks of the stream here surrounded by yellow, chest high bushes... this land truly plays tricks on the eye... there is so much space, everything appears small, and large distances seem very short indeed... dangerous stuff... beautiful dangerous!!! all work protected by Creative Commons

The vastness in Alaska is just as you describe it, so deceiving - amazing and breathtaking. I can't wait to see your Lofoten images. When will you be there, and how long will you stay?
