I like the textures very much 20 Nov 2008 4:10pm MaryP from Aberdeenshire, United KingdomNice blue colour of the truck, but for me i love the wood, if it is wood?? I'm trying to figure out the cheveron pattern. Both sides of the 'V' are identical. Can you get wood to do this, or is it from a reflection or a mold (plastic)?? 20 Nov 2008 4:15pm @MaryP: Thanks Mary! I just used photoshop to 'mirror' the original! (by flipping horizontal). Been flexing my menu experimentation in CS3... worked like a charm! :D grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomWonderful weathered wood. A mirror image perhaps Mary. 20 Nov 2008 4:21pm @grouser: yes! a mirrored image!! ;) i liked the idea of chevrons!!! more dynamic! cheers mate! Pradeep from Chennai, IndiaThe title really puts them together. Nice colors and textures. BTW, is that a reflection of wood or PPd? :) 20 Nov 2008 5:06pm Giovanni from Milan, ItalyDJ, I love this image! Fabulous pairing! Wonderfully done! Daryl from Amagasaki, JapanGreat vivid and strong colours; sharp and crisp shots. 20 Nov 2008 11:41pm willow from Chelsea, United StatesReally interesting combo - the textures and the colors are perfect in contrast to each other. 20 Nov 2008 11:54pm Jeffster from Long Island, United StatesVery interesting combination dj. It takes a very "knowing eye" to pre-visualize that these 2 distinct elements would work so well together. Either that - or you were just lucky! Best regards... 20 Nov 2008 11:57pm @Jeffster: thanks Jeff!! well, i must admit, i was just 'foolin' around -- so i guess i can fairly state that: 'lady luck is a friend of mine'... :) but that is what i love about getting home after work... i head to my bedroom (aka studio) and muck around with photos and photoshop looking for new ways of presenting images. i knew i wanted the shot of the trucks to be used in a diptych -- and somehow in the process, the wooden textures identified themselves as the perfect opposing subjects... thanks for the compliment -- truthfully i wasn't so sure about the combination -- but it has certainly grown on me!! cheers to you!! :) akarui from Kagoshima, JapanNice association in this dyptich. We can find the V graphisme of the right picture on the truck. Also the orange and blue combination is very good. 21 Nov 2008 1:58am DarkElf from Perth, Australiainteresting idea DJ - quite a contrast but this shot is right on the money... quite a number of factors contribute to the fabric that makes up Alaska or indeed the entire planet... 21 Nov 2008 3:22am pedro from loures, Portugalvery creative, i like the textures, and alaska looks like a wonderfull cold place! 25 Nov 2008 9:24pm Nan from Quezon City, PhilippinesNice try on a dyptich here.
