'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves...' (Lewis Carroll -- the 'Jaberwocky')
this is one of those weird happenstance shots -- we were out in the woods, it was pouring rain... the lens was wet, the light was strange... but beautifully so! we were already soaked through, to the point that it didn't matter if we got more wet or not! we had gone for a walk and got caught by a sudden and relentless storm front... it rained for hours! i partially feared that it was too damp for the camera, but as we were nowhere near the car and there was no way for me to keep the camera any drier, i just figured i would keep shooting to see what came out. due to the odd lighting and a slight blurring effect from the water i got a few intriguing shots that day... mystical, as if out of a children's bedtime story from when we were young. this is one of them.
