Stunner from Kingston, JamaicaA lovely stream and a nicely composed shot! Looks like a nice place. 13 Oct 2008 6:15am Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandSimply sparkling:-)) I'd love to bathe my feet in that cool flowing water! Lovely image dj! 13 Oct 2008 6:27am @Linerberry: Cheers Liners, but actually -- i think this water was hot! ;) i believe this was runoff from the hot springs... but don't remember exactly -- but it would certainly have been much cooler by the time it got here! ;) either way -- it would have been pleasant on the feet!! Maxine from Rangiora, New Zealandvery pleasant scene that has been photographed by A DJ with a great eye. 13 Oct 2008 7:05am dan from Paris, FranceIt is the most beautiful season of the year. 13 Oct 2008 7:37am @dan: thank you Dan! your comment is wonderfully poetic -- just beautiful said!! :D Monique from Koh Samui, ThailandThe leaves are already changing to a bright and beautiful color! Very sparkling with the floating water! 13 Oct 2008 7:44am @Monique: Cheers Monique!! It was a beautiful sight, not something i see much of down here in California! Thank you!! :) vu@granby - Alain Berger from Granby, Québec, CanadaLovely, wonderful composition ! 13 Oct 2008 7:53am Elaine- from Canadavery nice shot!! one of those kodak moments huh? i like the composition and nice sunlight.. beautiful 13 Oct 2008 8:19am Kylie Greenan from Richmond, AustraliaI think I like this one slightly better than the b&w, I am a sucker for green and gold tones and this is so picturesque, how nice it would be to just sit and spend an afternoon there. Wonderful image DJ and thanks for you comments on my page today, I don't know how you get time to go back over what you missed, but it is very much appreciated my friend! 13 Oct 2008 8:56am MaryP from Aberdeenshire, United KingdomLovely! I think i prefer this colour version. It looks so much more 'alive', the water has a sparkle to it that does'nt show up quite the same in the B/W version. Still it's good to try out these things, 'one never knows' How are you getting on with Photoshop 3 ? 13 Oct 2008 10:03am grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomThat could be here and now DJ, rather than how ever many thousands of miles away it is. That water looks good enough to drink. 13 Oct 2008 10:19am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaA pretty image, Jaycee. Looks tame after what you usually post. 13 Oct 2008 11:31am Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesNice. It looks like a pretty location. I like the color. 13 Oct 2008 12:17pm Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United StatesI could just picture myself here paddling around in this water.... it looks so relaxing... like I can hear the water bubbling down the brook... 13 Oct 2008 12:51pm Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, FranceI think i prefer this one because of beautiful colors of autumn in trees. A pleasant shot. 13 Oct 2008 1:32pm @Evelyne Dubos: Cheers Evelyne -- thank you!!! :) gbe from kansas city, United Statesi like it, but of course the b&w is the stronger photo! 13 Oct 2008 2:23pm Namaki from Bordeaux, Franceexcellent light ... the water looks so clear and fresh ! 13 Oct 2008 4:07pm dobbino from Cape Town, South AfricaRecognised it immediately. Not sure which version I prefer, but think maybe this time the BW has the edge? 13 Oct 2008 4:53pm @dobbino: Thanks Rob!! And i agree too -- i do like this -- but there is something lacking here... not sure what it is or why, but i felt the same way just before i decided to see what it looked like in b/w... and then once i saw it in monochrome, i decided to post in b/w! some sort of extra magical weight in the tinted b/w!! :) Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaYeah, prefer the bw to this, there is something not right with the colour, perhaps a bit washed out. 13 Oct 2008 7:28pm @Graham Russon: thanks mate -- yeah i think due the backlighting of the leaves, the light isn't as clear -- and the color certainly not as radiant! i prefer the silvery tones of the b/w too! Laurent from Lyon, Francesplendid! I like the way you played with the sun light giving a beautiful picture! 13 Oct 2008 8:45pm Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainGood one, and this was not easy: the sun was in a very bad place. 13 Oct 2008 8:48pm amy from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaWith the autumn colours, the b/w just doesn't do it justice. Much prefer this one... washed out or not!! 13 Oct 2008 9:50pm Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomThat glorious autumn light, brightly illuminating this lovely spot. 13 Oct 2008 10:00pm MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyVery beautiful shot, especially the light is wonderful. 13 Oct 2008 10:36pm JJ from Jersey City, United Statesgorgeous autumn colors in the leaves, love how you have captured the feel of motion in the water, beautiful scene beautifully captured 13 Oct 2008 11:54pm marianne from Francewhat a light ! it's woonderful, I'ld like to sit down and wait for the night, the river is so beautiful ! 14 Oct 2008 12:18am bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaThe colours are so striking and this is such a crisp feeling (as in being able to feel the air)...you have a way of capturing the moment so perfectly. I'd love to just sit here and meditate awhile :) 14 Oct 2008 3:22am Kingfish from Menlo Park, United StatesRGB brings out the sharp tones of fall - clean, I like the texture of the water, it's palpable. This shot reminds me of my youth - fall days, carving a pumpkin, running around the rural hills of California. 14 Oct 2008 5:54am |
