It was a fun experience -- got a few others coming up!! ;) Hoshisato from Ealing, United KingdomVery nice stitching! For people interested in stitching panoramas together from multiple exposures and using Windows, have a look at the free Microsoft Image Composite Editor beta just made available. 9 Oct 2008 9:18am @Hoshisato: Thanks mate!! Lucky for me, CS3 does all the work -- so i just sat back and waiting out the 5 seconds it took for alignment and blending! :D Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, FrancePanoramic size suit well to this nice landscape but it's a pity it's too small on the blog, would like to see that bigger... Like colors of clouds. 9 Oct 2008 9:40am @Evelyne Dubos: Thanks Eveylne and yes -- it is way too small -- i will send out a larger size to everyone who commented today by email so they can experience it at a larger resolution! Thanks again!! :) grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomThe trouble with my timing DJ is that all has already been said at the point I get to post. 9 Oct 2008 10:08am @grouser: No worries mate -- your comments and feedback are always appreciated! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaExcellent panoramic compo Dj, you live all sorts of adventures even of the Cs3 kind, what can I say, I don't know what I love the most about your site, your writing, your photos or your daring lol this is really beautiful...do I detect an Autumnal note in there? lol 9 Oct 2008 10:30am @Lorraine: Thanks heaps Lorraine! And yes -- this was just a month ago -- so even though the light is quite low in the foreground, the tundra is a reddish, orangish brown!! Good spotting! :) zOOm from Paris, FranceI just love panoramic pictures... I've got one to post... somedays... Great landscaape. CS2 didn't correct the exposures to match, but CS3 does it seamlessly, as you've found out. 9 Oct 2008 1:07pm @Andrew Gould: Thanks Andrew and yes -- i have heard about CS2 -- glad i waited it out! ;) baobab from Cambridge, United StatesI wish a-3 would allow this to be posted at 3200 px wide so that we could see it at a larger scale! a lovely panorama. 9 Oct 2008 1:49pm @gbe: cheers Grant! thanks heaps for the faabulous feedback and comments as always!!! :) MaryP from Aberdeenshire, United KingdomSuperb!!. I can't wait til i have had more practice!!! :D Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesYour panorama career is off to a flying start here, DJ - this is awesome. 9 Oct 2008 3:16pm Ana Lúcia from Leiria, PortugalThe composition is an excellent overview decision. It makes us go with our eyes to the horizontal landscape. 9 Oct 2008 3:26pm Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, FranceCongratulations for this beautiful pano ! 9 Oct 2008 4:00pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesThat's too bad Aminus3 wouldn't allow a bigger post, but that's ok, it's strong enough in any size. I hope it is better for you this week? ;) jamesy from christchurch, New ZealandGreat shot Dj perfectly seamless panorama Did you take the photos using a tripod? 9 Oct 2008 10:52pm @jamesy: Thanks Deb -- you know, that is a very good question... but i don't think i did! i used my tripod for alot of the shots -- yesterday's for example... but i think for these i did not -- when i magnified these shot really big, there seemed to be less crisp detail than they should have had if it had been a tripod shot. I am a sucker for not using a tripod if at all possible -- i hate to lug them around! i do need to get an image stabilizing lens though... that would help heaps! Cheers!! willow from Chelsea, United StatesWow - so majestic. Seamless perfection in processing, too. Amazing image - I'd put it on any wall in my house! 9 Oct 2008 10:58pm @willow: Thanks kindly Willow! I'd be more than happy to send you a bigger copy if you are interested!
