Swimming in a Hot, Green 'Pond'...

as a follow-on to yesterday's pic, here is a much more expansive view of the Blue Lagoon. In the distance you can see other connected lakes -- these ones closed off (by man) for some reason... but they remain bright blue and are much shallower. in other directions, this lake expands outward -- a collection of pools and lakes and lagoons... it is really quite wondrous! on the morning i was here, there were about 200 some people in the water -- as you can see only about 8 can be seen in this wide pic... so there is plenty of room for peace and tranquility -- simply a MUST do activity should you ever find yourself in Iceland. treat yourself... your body will thank you and you certainly won't be disappointed w/ the beautiful memories (and pics!) that you take home of the experience! :)

Wonderful place. Well captured.
IMO you have a lot of unused space down of the image. Cut about 20-25% from down and look at the result...

Love the colour of the water... the landscape looks so relaxing... I agree with zOOm of France... you are a good story teller... as for my picture you were asking about... it was an old 'African American' graveyard and if I see a graveyard I am in there... there was a grave there with plastic flowers on the ground and as I was bending over to read the headstone I saw this small birds nest nestled in the flowers... so got a quick shot and took so that I didn't disturb the birds that obviously wanted food... I could have stayed for hours... though I was 'bite' by Red Ants while trying to take a photo... it was worth it...

If we ever do "treat ourselves," hopefully our cameras will be far from the water. Indeed this is an expansive view of something that I thought yesterday was only the size of a lap pool. Great capture!

@Steven: Hehe... well... Let's just say the Blue Lagoon is sooo spectacular, your camera will be a lot closer than you think! :P I took video and pics while i was in the Blue Lagoon!! And it wasn't long before most people were doing the same!
