View From Inside the Shop (Nudie Jeans, Sydney)

While visiting old university friends in Paddington, Sydney last month, I stopped into Nudie Jeans as an acquaintance of mine owns and runs the meticulous shop. Unfortunately he was out running errands, so while i was having a quick look around the place i realized that there was something quite interesting happening out the front window. The shop attendant mentioned that a film crew had been preparing for some sort of ECO Car commercial all morning and were putting the finishing touches on the scene. With my camera handy from shooting all morning i captured this still of the model car (made out of grass) roughly lining up the shot between the wall and the corner of the window pane. It wasn't til i got back to SF that i noticed the actual details of the shot: the amnesty international advert written on the window... the reflection of shirts for sale, and the various positions and details of the film crew and the collection of curious bystanders outside.

Lots to take in here - excellent capture. We actually have a truck around here covered like this car is. Advertises roll-on lawns. Brings a whole new meaning to "job comes with a company car" lol.

@dobbino: hehe, thanks mate! good anecdote. :) yeah - i didn't stick around long enough to find out exactly what the spin was on the advert... oh well, the scene looked pretty cool anyways.

@Andrew Gould: Thanks mate -- I am not used to taking pictures in busy environments... it is something i need to work on. There was so much going on in the store and on the street, i nearly didn't take the shot out of fear of not knowing how to compose it... and / or second guessing myself regarding the focus on the multiple subjects.

@yiannis krikis: Cheers for the comment mate! Actually, i think it is a metal or fiberglass car frame with grass landscaped over it to promote some sort of ECO fuel... something like that! :)

@Persian King: Thank you kindly! This was a unexpected surprise... I didn't even see the writing until i enlarged the image when i got home from traveling... and the ability to read the message backwards...? i can't believe my luck! :)

@Observing: Cheers Mike -- it certainly is a spur of the moment shot... not something i am used to as i prefer semi-desolate landscapes... but i think i will try my hand at more of this urban 'shooting from the hip' style and see what sort of results i get.
