Nice angle and good shades and shadows. I remember seeing these doors in the Old City when I lived in Jerusalem in the late '90s.

@bm: Yes, this was the old city... I was only in Jerusalem for 24 hours... and these doors fascinated me! Do these lead to mosques? I just love the simple contasts of red and green star and crescent emblems upon white. Thanks!
Amazing colour! And you've done a great job capturing the detail. Looks like a really interesting place to visit.

@dobbino: Thank you for the comment! I was really, really tempted to 'enter' to find out what was inside... i wanted to explore this amazingly decorated entrance. But i believe it was an entryway to an mosque and i knew that i shouldn't go without a proper invitation, so i settled for a pic instead. :)
I don't know Jerusalem according to your picture it eems to be a place heavy from hystory.Nicecolors !

@bruno: Thanks You! Yes, i don't know Jerusalem well either, i was only there briefly -- but the history of the city is very very old... and there is so much character in the architecture with all the corridors, alleys, tunnels, bridges... and then there are these completely surprising and beautiful colored doorways... It was awesome.
I love the exposure and the way you handled the darkness of the interior of the corridor and the light at the end of it. Excellent!

@Condemna: Thank you! I really lucked out as the light within the corridor made it easy to find a middle tone for the shot... so i didn't end up fiddling with the aperture or having to worry that the darker areas would end up too dark. :)
